This has been a crazy few days for MLB the Show 23. A lot of information has been released about the game including the pre-order date, cover athlete, and many more. A big question has now been answered and it focuses on which consoles will MLB The Show 23 be available to play on. Well we officially got our answer and there is some good news along with bad news.
The Bad News
Unfortunately, I have some bad news for anyone that plays on a PC. MLB The Show 23 will not be available to play on the PC. This should not be a big surprise as MLB games have not been on PC since MLB 2K12. It’s crazy that it has been about a decade since the game can’t be played on PC. MLB The Show 23 joins both NHL 22 and NBA 2k23 on sports video games not available to be played on PC.
The Good News
While this game won’t be available on PC it’s available to be played on multiple other consoles. It will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
While I am not surprised that the game is not on PC, I just feel like it is yet another missed opportunity. They did expand to make the game playable on Xbox last year which was a plus as MLB The Show was strictly a PlayStation title.
MLB The Show 23 releases March 28th, 2023 on Xbox One & X|S, PlayStation 4/5, and Nintendo Switch. It will be available for pre-order on February 6th.
