So far, the film has been racking up $7 million in previews; outpacing its predecessor, Mission Impossible: Fallout. The early success with box office previews can lead to Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part 1 getting Hollywood get back on track with summer releases. The series has been very consistent with its storytelling and action sequences, especially with Cruise performing his own stunts.

Cruise has been pushing the newest Mission Impossible film, which was enduring a journey to release in theatres. The movie’s production was complicated, and was put on hold in the heat of the COVID-19 pandemic. Also, Mission Impossible: Dead Recokning: Part 1 was going through several production and release delays, which the movie at risk of losing momentum.

Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning: Part 1 is now in theatres, and Part 2 will be on the big screens June 28, 2024. Both Mission Impossible movies were originally going to film back-to-back, but it wasn’t possible due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
