The final expansion in the 10-year journey of Destiny is here! With all the new updates, here are the first things to do in Destiny 2: The Final Shape.

Campaign

Destiny 1, The Final Shape, campaign

When you load into Destiny, you will be prompted to enter “The Pale Heart” and complete the mission “Transmigration.” We recommend you play the entire campaign on Legend for your first run-through since you will be matched to the activity power. These missions can get pretty difficult, but is completely possible to do them solo. But, if you do have a friend or two to help, it wouldn’t hurt to bring them along. We recommend bringing a good ad-control weapon and a high damaging, precision weapon. Also, when you finish the last mission on Legend, you will receive armor and weapons all at 1960 power. So we recommend not to infuse any of your armor until you finish the campaign.

Prismatic Abilities

Destiny 2, Prismatic, Titan

After finishing the campaign, you will notice that you are still missing quite a bit of aspects, supers, and fragments in your Prismatic subclass. You will need to complete the “Lost in the Light” and “Found in the Dark” quests in order to unlock the rest of your aspects and supers. We will release another more detailed guide on unlocking all Prismatic fragments later on, as many steps are involved.

New Exotic Weapons

Destiny 2, Microcosm, The Final Shape

After unlocking all your aspects and supers, you will have a new quest from Cayde-6 called “Wild Card.” This mission involves running around The Pale Heart and collecting “ether” for Cayde-6 and Crow. Complete this mission to unlock the “Still Hunt” exotic sniper rifle.

You will also have a new quest called “Convalescence.” Complete the three “lost ghosts” steps to unlock the exotic quest. The last step is to complete the “Ascent,” “Dissent,” and “Iconoclasm” missions. These are missions from the campaign that have additional modifiers. You will need to bring at least another person with you to complete this mission because it relies on “fireteam cooperation.”

Prepare For Act I

Destiny 2, prismatic, class items

Now that you’ve completed all the steps above, it’s time to prepare for what’s next. Act I is set to release on June 11th, 10 A.M. PST. This update will bring the highly anticipated Exotic class items into the game along with this Episode’s legendary weapons. We recommend you reset your rank with the Cryptarch so you can instantly start buying class items from him to get your desired perk combinations. This means farming up on exotic engrams and exotic ciphers. We don’t know what else is yet to come, but we hope this guide has helped you through your journey in Destiny 2: The Final Shape.
