EA Sports PGA Tour is about to release and it is a very exciting time. A lot of people are hyped for this game including those who love the game of golf. Golf video games usually have a deep and quality single-player career mode, and EA Sports PGA Tour is no exception. But let’s face it, everyone knows that multiplayer is where the real fun is at.

The release of Rory McIlroy PGA Tour back in 2015 was plagued with only eight licensed courses at launch and a bare-bones multiplayer suite that only included Stroke Simultaneous matches. With EA Sports PGA Tour, EA Sports looks to return to the glory days of the Tiger Woods PGA Tour franchise with a multiplayer mode that is deep and offers plenty of modes for all kinds of players.

That means a lot more offerings than in the last game. Let’s take a look at what’s coming in EA Sports PGA Tour.

Competitive Mode

EA Sports PGA Tour

When it comes to the competitive mode this helps with properly matchmaking other ranked players. Heck it even is utilized to test skills in the game through 9-18 holes with other players. It is a super strict Social Mode for players. Speaking of which…

Social Mode

EA Sports PGA Tour

This is a more relaxed mode compared to the Competitive mode. It still allows proper matchmaking with similar ranked players. It does not effect ranking as it is played in an unranked environment and best part it can be done through 9-18 hole course. This is basically a practice mode for certain players in an online environment with other players.

Private Match

This one was an obvious one. Private Matches are meant to be private and the best way to have that happen is online. In fact, Private Match mode allows this to happen in EA Sports PGA Tour. It also gives full control to customize the specific game, control, and rounds with certain courses.

Now it is also important to note that these modes can support up to 16 players which is very cool. I am actually very excited to try out the online modes of these games. Especially with doing competitive modes playing with other players. It will be intriguing to see how the Online Modes will operate once the game comes out, because a lot of players will definitely play in modes.

EA Sports PGA Tour is coming April 7th, 2023 and will be playable on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Ive recently deleted the game. It appears we are never getting proper online modes. Golf is a social game and for them to leave it out is a shame. Game is pretty but without online modes its not worth having or playing. Nothing in this game makes up for what the game lacks. Deleteed and EA loses a customer
