Relax with an iced tea, close the blinds, and enjoy the air conditioning. Summer isn’t the only event that’s around the corner. Check out these five awesome games scheduled for release in May.

1. Redfall

May starts off with the release of Redfall on PC and Xbox Series X|S

This month’s first release is Redfall from Arkane Studios. Expectations were definitely high with this game, seeing as it came from the same studio that brought us Dishonored and Deathloop. However, after barely being out 12 hours, what players ultimately received was something half-baked. Complaints of errors, network issues, and overall lack of polish currently flood the game’s Steam page.

Redfall is available on PC and Xbox Series X/S.

2. Hogwarts Legacy

Hogwarts Legacy Title Castle

Next, we have a game that is certainly no stranger to the strangely awesome site. PS4/Xbox One owners rejoice! This month, Hogwarts Legacy will finally become available for last-gen consoles. Patience always pays off. Plus, now we have plenty of resources available for you. Like, for example, how to sneak attack.

Hogwarts Legacy will be available for PS4 and Xbox One on May 5th.

3. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

Then, Zelda fans will be treated to a new adventure. What more can be said about one of Nintendo’s most iconic franchises? After the success of Breath of the Wild, this sequel aims to do the same. If that isn’t enough for you, Red Dead Redemption, another legendary action-adventure game, is said to have influenced the gameplay in Tears of The Kingdom. So, on that note, we’re all excited.

Tears of the Kingdom will be available on Nintendo Switch on May 12th.

4. Lego 2K Drive

In this case, you better have your driving gloves close by. Get ready to get behind the wheel and cruise through Bricklandia. Race, explore, and even build your dream car or boat in the garage on Lego 2K Drive. Sounds awesome, right? The good news is you don’t have to wait much longer.

Lego 2K Drive will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One starting May 19th.

5. The Lord Of The Rings: Gollum

Undoubtedly, The Lord Of The Rings: Gollum is one of this month’s most notable releases. Because of this, fans have pretty high expectations. Since the trailer was released, it’s fair to say that the gameplay previewed has left some speculating. Consequently, if you’re looking for a laugh please go ahead and check out the comments on the gameplay reveal trailer. Leave it to Lord of the Rings fans to come up with creative insults. We should probably try to remember it’s only a trailer. But, for the developers’ sake, I hope for the best.

The Lord Of The Rings: Gollum will be available for PC, PS4/5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on May 25th.

With so many games coming out (and realizing it’s going to be challenging to focus on anything other than Sméagol’s crawling movement for a while), summer just might have to wait. In short, be sure to watch out for all these games as they release this month.
