This year saw some awesome releases of some of the best Star Wars toys to date. Whether you’re new to the Star Wars universe or have been a fan for a while now, there’s no doubt there have been some toys that have captured some of the best moments from the Star Wars films and shows, as well as making your own stories in a galaxy far, far away using some tabletop games and miniature toys.

We’re looking back at the year to pick some of our top 10 favorite Star Wars toys and merchandise that surely take us back to when we were kids, or create new moments with these awesome toys. 

10. LEGO Brickheadz: Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader

You can’t go wrong with LEGO Star Wars, especially when it involves debatably two of the greatest Star Wars characters of all time, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader. This 260-piece set comes with the Brickheadz versions of Obi-Wan and Vader based on their heart-wrenching duel in the lonely world of Mapuzo. A pivotal moment for the Star Wars mythos and the lives of Kenobi and Vader, it makes a fine addition to your collection!

9. Ewoks Collectible Figure – (Return of the Jedi 40th Anniversary)

Return of the Jedi turns 40 this year, and this toy won’t be the only ROTJ figure on this list to celebrate, we have the Ewoks possibly not just celebrating the anniversary of the film itself but also that of the fall of the Empire. It has a stand, 3 regular Ewoks, and 3 baby Ewoks. This makes a great display for your Star Wars collection of other toys and books!

8. Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett: Black Series (Luke Skywalker and Grogu)

In the Book of Boba Fett, we see Luke Skywalker training Grogu on an unnamed planet. Here we not only get to see Luke, Grogu, Ahsoka, and Din Djarin in the same show, but we also see a very familiar kind and compassionate Luke help Grogu and adventure with him. This Black Series Luke Skywalker and Grogu lets you recreate your favorite moments from this episode! 

7. LEGO Star Wars: Executor Super Star Destroyer

This towering LEGO set featuring Vader’s menacing Super Star Destroyer is another candidate for our best Star Wars toys of 2023! With a piece count of 630, you’ll no doubt have a great time building one of the most popular Star Wars vehicles of all time. To also celebrate the 40 anniversary of Return of the Jedi, fans can also expect a nameplate for their set.

6. Leia Organa’s Lightsaber

Fans of the franchise finally saw what Leia Organa was up to in Star Wars: Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker, after the events of Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, she began her Jedi training not long after. In that scene, we also saw Leia had constructed her lightsaber, a lightsaber later passed down to Rey. Now, it can be yours to own for display in the ShopDisney store!

5. Endor Leia Organa (Gentle Giant Mini-Bust)

Leia Organa is nothing short of a brave character. Return of the Jedi demonstrated that when she fought alongside Luke Skywalker as they chased down the Empire’s scout troopers on speeders. However, she also showed her soft and gentle side when encountering local Ewok, Wickett. Gentle Giant brings out this mini-bust Leia Organa with her Endor attire to get ready for battle against the Empire’s forces. Or you could just display it in your Star Wars collection!

4. Admiral Ackbar Statue

Yet another Gentle Giant figurine and following the reoccurring theme of Return of the Jedi, comes the Admiral Ackbar statue! A noble leader and the iconic Star Wars character who said the iconic and memorable line, “It’s a trap!”, Admiral Ackbar is a character who doesn’t give up on others, cares for his friends, and fights for the light to persevere. 

3. Star Wars: The Deckbuilding Game

The first card game on our list, Star Wars: The Deckbuilding Game is a two-player game where you go head to head with you and a friend play as the Rebellion or the Empire as you fight for galactic conquest aided by heroes like Luke Skywalker or villains like Darth Vader. Developed by Fantasy Flight Games, you can play with your family and friends and duke it out with hours of fun and friendly competition. 

2. Regal Robot’s Grogu 

There’s no doubt that Grogu is one of the most beloved Star Wars characters of all time and the merchandise for this baby Yoda just keeps coming. This statue was created using the same molds they made in the original Grogu from the show. Standing at 7 and a half inches tall with a plaque as well as signed by Lucasfilm’s Christian Alzmann, the man who drew the concept art for Grogu, and Tony McVey, the FX artist, it is a must-have for Star Wars and Grogue fans!

1. Gentle Giant’s Luke Skywalker and Grogu

The season finale of The Mandalorian Season 2 saw the return of the hero of the Original Trilogy, Luke Skywalker. Here, he sought out Grogu from Din Djarin to train him. The statue recreates the scene in a very detailed manner and brings this amazing scene to life. By Gentle Giant, it is 10 inches tall and is a limited figurine as there are only 3,000 of them
