The Ahsoka TV show has a premiere date. The first episode will air on Disney Plus on Tuesday, August 22. Seven episodes will follow, all of them also on Wednesdays. Each episode will have a runtime of approximately 45 minutes.

The show is expected to follow Ahsoka Tano (played by Rosario Dawson) in her search to find Ezra Bridger (Eman Esfandi). Yet, to find her long lost friend, she must first hunt down the one who disappeared with him, Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen). Already Ahsoka confronted an agent of his, Morgan Elsbeth (Diana Lee Inosanto). This famously took place in season 2 of The Mandalorian when Ahsoka asked where the grand admiral was hiding. Elsbeth’s inclusion in the casting suggests further assistance from her — willingly or not.

In Ahsoka’s search, she’s expected to have help from various Star Wars: Rebels alum. Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo), Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), and Chopper (Dave Filoni) are guaranteed. While Garazeb “Zeb” Orrelios isn’t mentioned in the casting, an appearance by him is also assured. Being another former member of the Ghost, Zeb made his jump to live action in The Mandalorian season 3.

Likely to be new antagonists are Baylan Skoll (the late Ray Stevenson) and his apprentice Shin Hati (Ivanna Sakhno). Both of them featured prominently in the initial trailer for the show, each wielding orange lightsabers.
