For years Fortnite has managed to constantly remain one of the most played games ever. This feat can be from many different factors, those being easy accessibility, the ever-growing community, and consistent updates to the game. But one important reason Fortnite stays in the gaming media is due to the synergy it has with movie releases. We will go over five of the best examples of when Fortnite created great movie Tie-Ins.
Uncharted
During the release of the live-action interpretation of Sony’s hit video game franchise Uncharted, a collab that allowed players to access skins and items related to the film and the 4th Uncharted game. You could play as Nathan Drake and Chloe Frazer from the movie alongside having a 2nd outfit for each character with their likeness and attire from Uncharted 4. It is always great to see when a collaboration pays homage to not only the film but also its source material.
Spider-Man: No Way Home
During the hype that was Spider-Man: No Way Home Fortnite added to the excitement by adding skins for Spiderman allowing players to use two suits Spider-Man wore in the film, also allowing you to remove and put on his mask at any time as an emote. You could also play as MJ who was a co-star in the film as well. Getting to run around as Spider-Man especially if you manage to grab his gloves to swing around was always a blast to do.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider Verse
During the release of the second awaited film in the Spider-Verse franchise Fortnite’s collaboration gave access to the most prominent Spider-Men in the film, Miguel O’Hara “Spiderman 2099” and Miles Morales “Spiderman of Earth 1610″. The skin where amazing to see with both having different aesthetics and art styles related to their universes as seen in the film.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker
The Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker X Fortnite collaboration gave players a tune of things to play with. Access to skins being Rey, Fin, Kylo Ren, Zorii Bliss, and Sith troopers. Alongside ships to be used as gliders in the game. most collabs consist of one or two skins, while this one manages to jam pack 5 skins and extra items to synergize with the film.
Avengers: Infinity War
One of if not the best collaborations was Fortnite X Avengers Infinity War. During this limited-time event, players would be able to compete with each other to try and retrieve the infinity gauntlet allowing whichever player grabbed it first to become The Mad Titan Thanos. Instead of Thanos just being a cosmetic change you could use his strength and the power of the infinity stones to flatten other players. It truly made you feel like a God amongst men.
