Day Of the Devs

Double Fine Productions CEO Tim Shauffer and Iam8Bit have been producing Day of the Devs for the last decade, which highlights upcoming indie games. This year’s show, like the previous three years, will follow the Summer Game Fest Showcase and will air at 2 p.m. PDT / 5 p.m. EDT.

Wholesome Direct

Many Indie presentations have begun since the pandemic. The Wholesome Direct is a “Nintendo Direct” style presentation that lasts about an hour and will be on June 10th at 9 a.m. PDT / 12 p.m. EDT. The show began in 2020 and highlights indie games that are more calming, so many are in the visual novel and “simulator” genres, including farming sims, city building, cooking, and many others. Last year’s presentation included Coffee Talk: Episode 2 and Ooblets.

Future Games Show Summer Showcase

GamesRadar+’s bi-annual show is a 1 to 2-hour showcase of upcoming indie games, which will be on June 10th at 10 a.m. PDT / 1 p.m. EDT. The presentations have been hosted by various voice actors; this year’s spring presentation, which went live last month, was hosted by Cody Christian and Briana White, who voiced Cloud and Aerith in  Final Fantasy 7 Remake. This year’s showcase will include “over 40 new trailers, showcasing the most interesting titles on PS5, Xbox, Switch, PC, and VR platforms.” according to GamesRadar.

Xbox Games Showcase / Starfield Direct

Xbox will have its annual summer presentation on Sunday, June 11th, at 1 PM EDT / 10 AM PDT. One of the most anticipated RPGs, Starfield, is getting a standalone presentation immediately thereafter. Bethesda’s upcoming sci-fi RPG, Starfield, is set to release on September 6th after many delays.

Ubisoft Forward

Back in March, Ubisoft announced its intention to not participate in the now-canceled E3 presentation. As such, Ubisoft Forward, which debuted in 2020, will finish out Summer Games Fest by airing a Ubisoft Forward event on YouTube and Twitch on June 12th at 1 PM EDT / 10 AM PDT.

PC Gaming Show

The PC Gaming Show is dedicated to interviews, showing off new games and PC hardware, so naturally, it is a little longer, usually running between 2-3 hours. Currently, the show is set to air sometime after the Starfield Direct on Sunday, June 11th.
