Bethesda Softworks, the team responsible for some of the most renowned Role-playing franchises, The Elder Scrolls and Fallout, has finally announced a release date for the studio’s first new IP in 25 years, as announced on social media earlier today. Starfield was initially announced during Bethesda’s E3 conference in 2018 and was originally slated for release in the first half of 2023; however, it has now been pushed back again but is still being released this year.

Starfield Direct In June

The newest trailer for Starfield has announced that the highly anticipated open-world sci-fi RPG will be launching exclusively for Xbox Series X|S and PC on September 6, 2023. The studio will also release a video presentation, “Starfield Direct,” on June 11th, which will reveal even more details regarding the game. At the present time, it is unknown exactly when it will premiere on their YouTube and Twitch channels.

The Direct will take place immediately after the Xbox Games Showcase on June 11, giving Xbox a strong presence around E3 this year even thought they’re not officially attending.

Bethesda has released several short videos in the last year, as well as a 15-minute video that briefly touches on various mechanics, such as over a thousand explorable planets, base building, the ability to build and customize ships, and of course, space combat.

Starfield is coming on September 6, 2023, and will be playable on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Game Pass.
