Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has enough difficulty to be called Soulsborne-lite so it’s no surprise that anyone would be having trouble with certain challenges. Respawn and EA’s Star Wars game has these challenges called Force Tears and the History Force Tear is no slouch.

Everyone, including their mother, absolutely hated Oggdo Bogdo in the original Jedi: Fallen Order. I for one was glad to finally be rid of him in the game. However, in the sequel, you’ll encounter the offspring of Oggdo when searching for the beloved poncho cosmetic. It’s a horrid fight but not as bad as the actual force tear itself. There’re some things to do first before unlocking the force tear so let’s get into it.

How to Unlock History Force Tear

First, it is crucial to take on Fort Kah’Lin on Koboh. The fort is mainly comprised of bedlam raiders which shouldn’t be that big of a challenge. Inside there will be a round metal door surrounded by B-1 droids and some bedlam raiders. Once you step on the circle it’ll open and plunge you down into a pit. Think of it as the rancor scene but in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

Oggdo’s offspring will be waiting for you. How did Oggdo go to Koboh, have a kid, then go back to Bogano? I have absolutely no idea, but it’s a video game so all we must worry about is killing space frogs. Once you defeat the kin of Oggdo then you’ll find a weird toad-looking creature like the one in Doma Dendre’s shop in Rambler Reach. There will be a force echo on it. Interact with it which will get some dialogue from Cal, then go to Doma Dendre’s shop. There will be the toad-thing and it will have the history force tear.

Setup, Preparation, and Final Fight

It’s important to have the blaster stance, the location of which is detailed here. Try to max out your health stims as well as upgrade the blaster stance a lot. If you can then also try and grab the charge blaster shot upgrade thanks to Caij Vanda. Now it’s time for the actual fight itself. If you want, you can also get some upgrades for lightsaber damage and abilities for an easier fight.

Spawn of Oggdo and Oggdo Bogdo are both here to take you on. Be very careful as these two both have the capability of one-shotting you. The strategy is to hang back and charge shots in the blaster stance. The shots will stagger them, regardless of unblockable moves. Once they stagger jump in and start picking away with your lightsaber. Using the slow force ability and only attacking one will freeze the other target instead of really slowing them down, which is very helpful. Keep going and don’t give up!

Eventually, you’ll kill the two and complete the history force tear. There’s a good chance that multiple deaths will occur but just keep your chin up and keep at it. Those wretched space frogs will pay eventually.
