I really can’t believe I’m typing this again, but Ubisoft’s Skull and Bones, the open-world pirate adventure game that has had a tumultuous development since being announced in 2017, has been delayed once again until March 8, 2023. Prior to the delay, Skull & Bones had been scheduled to release on November 8, 2022.

Skull and Bones is a game where players become pirates and make their own experience, becoming merchants, raiders, or other types of outlaws on the open sea. While there was no single-player experience planned, Ubisoft had delayed the game several times in the past to ensure that content was equal to the scope being promised with Skull and Bones.

Ubisoft’s pirate adventure was just shown off earlier this month at Ubisoft Forward, with no indications that there were any issues that might cause the game to be delayed for a now (yes, really) fifth time. New things shown off included full customization options and a new Helm feature, which is essentially a pretty cool pirate lair. Unfortunately, it will now collect dust until the spring.
