If you have not noticed in previous articles I have written, I am a big Assassins Creed Fan. I pay attention to every detail of the game and while some games were hits, others were awful. However, I believe that a good title intro for every game is very important and Assassin’s Creed has some great ones. So, I decided to rank every sing Assassin’s Creed Intro. As always, I am only going to rank the games I have played including:

  • Assassins Creed
  • Assassins Creed II
  • Assassins Creed Brotherhood
  • Assassins Creed Revelations
  • Assassins Creed III
  • Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag
  • Assassins Creed Rouge
  • Assassins Creed Unity
  • Assassins Creed Syndicate
  • Assassins Creed Origins
  • Assassins Creed Odyessy
  • Assassins Creed Valhalla

So let’s get into it and me giving my ranking of every title intro for each Assassin’s Creed Game.

12. Assassins Creed Syndicate

Syndicate to me is one of the more boring and bland assassins creed games in the series. Especially in the main characters who to me are the definition of bland. When replaying this game, it really was not that great of a game. At least the DLC is great and Oh I will be in the future writing something on it (To Be Continued). The intro is below,

The only thing that was cool was going via train into Industrial Revolution London and the shot of it is pretty well done. Besides that I am not a fan for two main reasons. First, I think the soundtrack of the intro is pretty garbage. Second, we start the game off on a bad light as the Frye Twins basically go Rouge ignoring the request to go to Crawley. Which again goes against the lore of Assassin’s Creed and Father’s wishes. Gosh thinking about it this game has a lot of plot holes as well.

11. Assassins Creed Rouge

I don’t hate any intro in this game, but while watching this it just felt sort of bizarre how they filmed this. So basically Shay Cormac, Liam, and Chevalier all are on a ship after saving ships by Chevalier. Once everything is safe the three decide to set sail to see the Mentor Achilles Davenport, then we get a wide shot of two ships and boom we get Assassins Creed Rouge. It just sort of came out of nowhere and it really was not a big hype point. It just felt weird.

10. Assassin’s Creed Black Flag

I like Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, but while watching the title intro again, it really just comes out of nowhere. I mean it gives a nice shot of Havana, Cuba and the soundtrack is awesome as always, but I feel like it could have been done better. It just sort of felt a little bland in my opinion. Not as bland as Syndicate, but it is close.

9. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

While this game is an absolute disgrace to the Assassins Creed Series. I can’t call the intro the worst as that would be totally incorrect and make me seem bias towards the game. I like Odyssey’s intro compared to others.

The soundtrack is pretty good and the graphics are done very well. I think it does a very great job showing the logo as well. Problem is that this pops up moments that a blatant plot hole shows up in either Alexios or Kassandra having visions of them being young and tossed off Mount Taygetos, which makes zero sense that they can survive thus lowering their ranking to number 9. I can’t get over the idiotic plot hole, I just can’t. Gosh this game is awful.

8. Assassin’s Creed Origins

Out of all the Assassins Creed Games released during the Layla Era, in total, my favorite one is Assassins Creed Origins. I also really like how the title intro is. Now a lot of people are going to say, this is pretty much a copy and paste of the intro for Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag.

I disagree, as I feel there are more details in this intro title. First off this is super gorgeous and has a cinematic feel to it. I also like how there is no Assassins Creed for the logo and it makes sense as this is where the Assassins Creed originated from. Out of all the latest games released, I strongly recommend that you play this one.

7. Assassins Creed Valhalla

You know, I came into this game with a bit of excitement to play a Viking game as it was a time period many wanted. Then I realized that it was named Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and my excitement was lowered as there is no way that a Viking can be an assassin. However playing in this game, this intro to me is cool.

This was cool with the timing as Evor and his group of Vikings are setting sail to England. The mountains and ocean is so beautiful its amazing how the graphics are the game. I also love how the logo appears as well, which is pretty creative along with at the end they say “to Valhalla” as well. It is just a shame that this game was way too long and the plot was just a mess. Also if this game was just called Valhalla, then it would have been a much better game.

6. Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood

If I were to label a game as the most perfect ever made, I would immediately say Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood. I would not say the intro is perfect, but I really like how they made it in this game. Just so cool we get to see Rome in the game.

I like how interested both Mario and Ezio are with the Apple of Eden. Adds a neat detail as anyone that has a powerful weapon. Then Mario makes a point about decisions and both Mario & Ezio take a leap of faith. I just love how beautiful this game is and this was released in 2010.

5. Assassins Creed Revelations

I keep constantly referring this game as to what The Dark Knight Rises is to the Dark Knight trilogy. Still a fun and enjoyable, but not as great as the first two in the trilogy. I have to say this title intro was so epic. I don’t care if it is way too long, that intro is so epic and awesome. It has such an amazing Cinematic feel to it and it shows how powerful and strong Ezio is while he has aged. Going from being captured and him walking away was so cool.

4. Assassin’s Creed

The first ever game in Assassins Creed does a phenomenal job with the introduction of the title in what I believe is the most important Assassins Creed Game in Series not named Assassins Creed Mirage (Which is releasing soon). Just take a look on it right now.

I can’t believe that this intro was made in 2007 and it still holds up to this very day. Altair stakes out his target and Altair assassinates his target while the bell ring. So many details with Altair running away through crowds and parkouring up buildings. I love how it ends with Altair blending in the crowd as well coming out of the church, just awesome.

3. Assassin’s Creed 2

Of course, the most perfect Assassin’s Creed games ever made and the most beloved game ever is in the Top 3. Especially as it started the Ezio Trilogy and I love how this intro is done. Just fantastic and this intro is arguably one of the best scenes done in the Assassins Creed Series.

I mean, one moment you are beating up gangsters, climb up a building, have a wonderful time with Ezio and his brother looking at the two of them with amazing dialogue, and then the amazing music hits. Many are probably pissed off that this is not number 1, however I think there are two more title intros that are done even more beautifully.

2. Assassin’s Creed 3

While many have been up and down about Assassins Creed 3, I still like this game a lot. The story is cool, the time period is great and Haytham & Connor Kenway are fantastic characters. Another thing that I find very beautiful about this game is how the title intro is.

I mean this is one of the most beautiful intro’s in the game. Just thing of history as in the mindset of Europeans coming to America, this is a new place and they got the feeling of exploring something new. Haytham rising to the top of the ship and being in awe of the beautiful new world in front of him, the awesome music being played and the camerawork going slow seeing a cloudy America with other ships as well. Ohhh so great. I almost ranked this number 1, however there is one more better title intro.

1. Assassin’s Creed Unity

Assassin’s Creed Unity has gone down as one of the biggest missed opportunities in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, but my goodness this games intro was fantastic. Especially the way the Title intro was done it was so gorgeous and the story was getting on the right track.

So in the Intro we have both Arno Dorian and Pierre Bellec breaking out of prison while the storming of the Bastille was going on. They get onto the roof and they have to do a leap of faith from the top of the bastille. Bellec gives Arno the watch and says to come find him and jump. Guards then come up surrounding Arno and the only way he can escape is doing his first cannon leap of faith.

Well, Arno finally does the leap and boom we get the Assassin’s Creed Unity logo where we see the French Revolution. Picture freaking perfect. it is just a shame that they fumbled this game so much with the awful story and glitch issues.

Which One is the Best?

So that is my ranking of every title intro in every Assassins Creed Game I have played. Do you agree with my ranking? Well let me know in the comment section who your favorite intro is in every game. I just hope Mirage’s game plays well and has a good intro as well.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be coming soon to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One & Series X/S
