In a physics based game like Party Animals knowing how to use the physics to your advantage is key to winning. And there is no better example of using the physics to your advantage than throwing.

Throwing objects or other players is a key strategy to play effectively. A well thrown stone could be the key to a victory, and a well thrown player could knock them out of the match. As such, it’s important to know exactly how to properly do it and some tricks to make them better in a multiplayer session of Party Animals.

Throwing 101

Party Animals Xbox Controls

On Xbox One or Series X|S throws are preformed like this:

  • When approaching the player/object you want to throw, press and hold RT (Right Trigger) to grab.
  • While still holding RT, press and hold X to charge up a throw. The longer you hold down X the more power the throw will have.
  • When ready to throw, release X to throw the player/object.

Party Animals Mouse and Keyboard Controls

On mouse and keyboard throws are preformed like this:

  • When approaching the player/object you want to throw, press and hold left click to grab.
  • While still holding left click, press and hold right click to charge up a throw. The longer you hold down right click the more power the throw will have.
  • When ready to throw, release right click to throw the player/object.

Other Throwing Tricks

  • Grip is important when throwing. Having both hands on the body of the other player will allow you to pick them up over your head if they are knocked out. Generally, having both hands on the other player will radically improve a throw. In the same vein, having the object or player fully off the ground will improve the throw as well.
  • Momentum is a useful tool when throwing since it can enhance the distance of a thrown object or player. By spinning while charging the throw and releasing at the right time, the momentum from your spin will transfer to the throw and the object or player will go farther. Keep in mind that the spin can make precise aiming more tricky.

Party Animals is available now on PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S
