Mortal Kombat 1 launches on September 19th shocking many fans with a trailer as well as a story that seems to reboot the franchise. Mortal Kombat 11 left off with Liu Kang fusing with Raiden and becoming a Fire God, a new Elder God. This 12th entry of the mainline series will be a “reborn” take on the franchise in a new world created by Fire God Liu Kang featuring a reimagined take on iconic characters in a brand-new and immersive story.

While most details are still kept under wraps, what is known is the core fighters that will be in this title. Players can expect to see Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Raiden, Mileena, Kitana, Fire God Liu Kang, Johnny Cage, Kung Lao, and many more unannounced characters, including a Kameo Pack which includes fighters that will assist you during the game as well as a Kombat Pack, which includes a skin for Johnny Cage to have him look like Jean Claude Van Damme.
