Sony San Diego announced that Miami Marlins center fielder Jazz Chisolm would be the cover athlete of MLB The Show 23 when it releases this spring. It will be the first time Chisolm, or any Miami Marlins player, has been on the cover of the popular baseball game.

Robert Flores of MLB Network made the announcement on Twitch and YouTube and was joined by Chisolm to discuss the news. Flores is not only the co-host of MLB Central on MLB Network but also a huge fan of MLB The Show, often streaming his games and hosting the Summer Circuit competitive series on Twitch.

The Youth Movement Continues In MLB The Show 23

Jazz Chisolm is a noted fan of MLB The Show, having toured the Sony San Diego studios during the 2022 season when the Marlins were in town to play the Padres. Chisolm is an electric player on the field and is shifting to center field in 2023 after being one of the most dangerous second basemen in the National League.

Fans can pre-order MLB The Show 23 on February 6. Not much else is known about the game right now. Still, it’s a good bet that there will be a steady flow of information on everything in this year’s iteration, including Road to the Show, Diamond Dynasty, and Franchise.
