Many gamers know about E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo); the massive video game trade show held every year in Los Angeles. Tens of thousands of avid and eager gamers flock to the convention each year, and even those who have never been will probably have heard of one of the biggest gaming conventions in North America. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the E3 ’21 was held online for the first time, then canceled outright the following year.

So, the big question is, will E3 happen this year?

The short answer is… yes.

In fact, multiple sources (including the ESA) have already confirmed that the show will go on, in person in 2023. To the relief of many, this means you will once again be able to make the pilgrimage to Los Angeles to experience the event. For the first time in two years, gamers will be able to meet friends and drag family to the Los Angeles Convention Center to get a glimpse of the latest and greatest in the video game industry.

As per usual, those in attendance—and even those who decide to catch up online later through Twitch or another live-streaming site—will be able to see trailers for upcoming games. Perhaps even get their hands on some new hardware if they’re willing to fork over the cash. Or, you can just go enjoy the free stuff. That’s cool, too.
