Adventure has a name, and now it has a new home on Disney Plus. Indiana Jones will be bringing his swashbuckling, globe-trotting adventures to the House of Mouse on May 31 when all four films become available on the streaming service.

This marks the first time that Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull have been available on Disney’s premium streaming platform. Their arrival comes one month in advance of the highly anticipated Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.

Indiana Jones on Disney+

Indiana Jones has been part of our film culture since 1981 when Raiders of the Lost Ark released. The film pitted the archaeologist in a race against the Nazis for the Lost Ark of the Covenant, which would give the evil Nazi party unspeakable power. Harrison Ford, George Lucas, and Stephen Spielberg would combine for two more sequels in the 1980s before the famed archaeologist would return one more time in 2008’s Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Harrison Ford is returning to the role one last time in 2023’s Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. While the first three films took place in the 1930s, Dial of Destiny will be set in 1969 in the heart of the space race. The film recently debuted at the Cannes Film Festival and received a 5-minute standing ovation from one of the toughest film crowds anywhere on earth. The reception to the film there brought Harrison Ford to tears as he struggles to express his appreciation.

Disney might have more plans for Indiana Jones beyond Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. There are rumors of an Indiana Jones Disney Plus TV show that Ford will not be attached to, but would continue the adventures of our favorite archaeologist.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny releases in theatres on June 30, 2023.
