Since 2013’s The Conjuring, creator James Wan’s franchise has made quite a name for itself in the modern horror genre. Along with the Insidious movies, its sister series of sorts, the franchise includes a great many entries that all make up a connected universe, and has become popular with both audiences and critics.

Released well outside of traditional, chronological order, it can be difficult to know how to watch them in narrative order. So if you’re looking to watch these movies this Halloween season — or you’re just looking for a good scare — here’s how to watch the entire Conjuring universe it in order.
