Starfield has recently been released, and it’s generating a lot of excitement due to its vast open-world setting with numerous planets and galaxies to explore. However, with such a massive game world, traveling from one point to another can be time-consuming. Fortunately, Starfield offers a fast travel feature to help streamline your exploration. In this article, we’ll delve into how you can utilize the fast travel system in the game and there are two simple ways to do it.

Fast Travel By Opening the Starmap

When opening up the menu it is pretty simple to fast travel in Starfield. All you need to do is select the Starfield Star Map and select a location or different planet. Usually, a ship or landing area are the fast travel options to choose from here. You can pick any area of the planet so you can land there quickly, but you just can’t do it on water. All you have to do is press the Travel button and that completes the Fast Travel

Fast Travel Through Scanner

When on foot, the most efficient way to fast travel is by utilizing the scanner. Simply open your scanner, navigate to a location icon using your joystick or mouse, and then select the fast travel option. A prompt will appear at the bottom of the screen, and depending on whether you’re playing on a PC or Xbox, you’ll press the corresponding button to initiate fast travel. It’s a straightforward process.

Keep In Mind

This is important to mention, but you can only use fast travel to any previously discovered location on the planet. So you can’t just automatically fast travel there and will have to do some exploring before that is an option. Luckily it is pretty easy to fast travel back to your ship if you are in a tight spot while playing this game.

Regardless, having fast travel in this game is a significant benefit. While exploration is enjoyable in video games, the long journeys between locations can sometimes diminish the excitement of playing. The choice of when to fast travel to a location is entirely yours, and as long as you’re having fun, that’s what truly matters.

Starfield is available to play now on PC and Xbox Series X/S.
