Just one week before the launch of Horizon Forbidden West, PlayStation Studios announced that Horizon Zero Dawn has topped 20 million copies sold. It would seem fans are excited about getting back into Aloy’s story before the new game launches.
Originally released in 2017, Horizon Zero Dawn is one of the best performing games from the PlayStation 4 era. It also has the distinction of being one of the most praised by fans. To understand the scale of this, 20 million copies sold puts Horizon Zero Dawn in the class of most of Call of Duty games. Granted, Horizon Zero Dawn has been discounted and featured in various sales since 2017, but 20 million is impressive however you look at it.
Horizon Zero Dawn also crossed the 1 billion hours played marker recently.
