Not only does Hogwarts Legacy let you fly, but it also lets you upgrade the broom! So if you’ve always wanted to fly like Harry Potter or Ginny Weasley, grab your broom and let’s take off!
Hogwarts Legacy is a vast, open world, and riding a broomstick is necessary to aid in exploration. Besides, there’s nothing more fitting than exploring Hogwarts on a broomstick. However, several quests must be completed before you’ll be allowed to fly a broom, much less upgrade it. We’ll talk about what quests to complete, where to go, and what you’ll need to do to upgrade it.

Obtaining a Broom

You don’t start Hogwarts Legacy with a broom, so first, we need to get one. You’ll need to work through the main story until you’re able to complete the quest, Jackdaws Rest. Once it’s complete, you’ll be assigned Flying Class near the main lawn with Madam Kagawa and race around the castle.
After finishing the class, you’ll be able to go to Spintwitches Sporting Needs shop in Hogsmeade to purchase your first broom. If you’ve attempted to enter the shop before completing Flying Class, the shop will be closed. Enter the shop and pick out a broom, each costing 600 gold. Sell some old items (or beasts to the Brood and Pec) if you’re low on funds. And there you have it, your very first wizarding broom.
Upgrading Your Broom

A new Quest will unlock immediately after purchasing your first broom. Meet Iselda Reyes on the Quidditch Pitch to complete Flight Test where you will be challenged to a time trial, flying through rings around the grounds. Missing rings will deduct 3 seconds from your time for each missed ring. Once you have beaten Iselda’s record, return to Spintwitches Sporting Needs for quest turn-in.
You will be asked to return later and, once some time has passed, will receive a message via Owl Post when the upgrade is ready. Purchase the upgrade for 1,000 gold and enjoy your new broom! Additional upgrades can be obtained and purchased by completing more time trials with Iselda Reyes.
Not only does Hogwarts Legacy let you explore Hogwarts from a broomstick, but you can customize and upgrade your ride. So go play a game of Quidditch and enjoy your tricked out broomstick! Hogwarts Legacy is out now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
