A new Mana Game was announced at the 2023 Game Awards.

The Mana Series, also known as Seiken Densetsu in Japan, is a long-running RPG series developed by Square Enix. The series started as a spinoff title in the Final Fantasy franchise, called Final Fantasy Adventure, in 1991. The last mainline title, Dawn of Mana released in 2006 for the PS2. Since then, the most recent Mana games have been remakes or collections of the previous titles. Most recently, Trials of Mana received a remake in 2022.

Square Enix announced Visions of Mana, the first entry in the series in 15 years, during The Game Awards on January 8th that will be released in 2024 for PS5, PS4, Steam, and Xbox Series X|S. Surprisingly, Visions of Mana has not yet been confirmed for the Nintendo Switch, despite having previous installments on the platform. Like Trials of Mana, the new installment will not be a fully-fledged open world, instead opting for “… enchanting locations with near-seamless transitions in a semi-open field…” according to the official website.

A New Mana Game

We do not quite know much in terms of story elements. All we can gather is a small synopsis provided by the official website:
