For the past few weeks, I have been playing Dead Island 2. There have been way too many zombie games out in the market to play, but I thought I would give this game a chance as I have liked previous Dead Island Games. I have been taking my time with this game and I have had a pretty fun time playing it. I am going to keep playing a few more times to get the nuts and bolts of the game nailed down, but I can enlighten you on one thing. The length of the game.

So, How Long is the Game?

Well, the real answer here is that it truly depends. Some players like myself love to take there time playing games and others just rush or speed run the game. While it depends on the player, you can probably expect to spend between 12-20 hours in Dead Island 2.

Story Mode

If your focus is on the story of the game, then it could take you around 12-15 hours to truly complete it. Not too terrible as of length and it can get tough sometimes going through zombie games with how rich the market is, so i think 12-15 hours is completely fair.

Side Quests

Side Quests can be on the trickier side as some are challenging and others are not. In this game there is a total of 33 side quests and 15 Lost & Found quests. I have seen some complete it in 10 hours, but to me as I go slow with the game. It took me 20 hours. However I did not advance much in the story while doing these quests, so I am pretty confident that if you did it would be a lot quicker to do.

Challenges

If you want to go 100% Completion Mode, then you have to also complete the 84 challenges in the game. Some can be done during the story mode and others can take a good bit of time to complete. I recommend doing these challenges during the game whether Story or Side as most can be done through your journey in the game.

In Total this game can be completed in around 22-35 hours for both Story and Side Quests. Which seems pretty fair. I am not going to dictate how you should play the game, as it varies. Sometimes people take it slow and others don’t. We all play these games to have fun and that is all that matters. I hope you all reading will have fun playing Dead Island 2.
