In recent years, Call of Duty has become no stranger to crossovers with Movies, TV, and Celebrities. However, none have been as epic as the addition of Timothée Chalamet’s Dune Character (Paul Atreides) into MW3 and Warzone.

A new store bundle adding Paul Atreides is the latest – but not last – of crossovers the Blockbuster shooter franchise has done with Dune: Part Two. The arrival of Dune‘s protagonist is perfectly timed. This comes right as the film’s latest trailer debuts, and a new Limited Time Event gives Call of Duty Fans opportunities to unlock Dune themed customization items; including a new Animated Camo which can be applied to any weapon in the game.

The crossover comes in the form of the “Tracer Pack: Dune Part Two – Paul Atreides Operator Bundle”, which adds the character and several other items. The Character itself is modeled after Timothée Chalamet’s performance in the film. In gameplay, you will occasionally hear dialogue pulled straight from the movies. It doesn’t seem as though the actor recorded any new voice lines for the game, though it is likely this year’s SAG-Aftra Strike is to blame. In the past, Operator Bundles for characters like Ash Williams have featured actors reprising their roles to commentate players’ actions in Call of Duty.

The Bundle Also includes three new weapon blueprints; the Fremen Fighter Assault Rifle, Desert Maula Pistol, and Crysknife Melee Weapon. The former two also come with a special Tracer effect. These add a Blue Laser and Orange Spice Effect to their firing animations and bullet impact. The Tracers come in the form of the 5.56 Low Grain Rounds and the .45 Auto High Grain Rounds, meaning they can be equipped on any other weapon that takes one of those alternate ammo types. The Bundle also includes the Chip And Shatter Finishing Move, Wormrider Calling Card, Maud’Dib Weapon charm and The Fighters emblem.

Is Paul Worthy?

The Cast of Dune: Part Two has a 1v1 on Rust.

For my money, Paul Atreides is a welcome addition to the evolving roster of Call of Duty Operators. The bundle itself comes with a lot of interesting items that vastly differ from the standard Modern Military designs we are used to seeing in MW3. It feels even more fitting given Timothée Chalamet’s apparent love for gaming. Recently, in an interview on TikTok, he even detailed how he used to use Modded Controllers in the Xbox 360 Era of Call of Duty. Plus, there’s something so fun and novel about playing as Characters or Celebrities from Pop Culture in your favorite game. Fans can also look forward to Austin Butler’s villainous Feyd-Rautha from Dune in a future store bundle.

After a sizable delay, Dune: Part Two will finally release in Theaters on March 1st.
