Athena’s unique curse status is: Exposed– For 5 seconds, victims take more damage from behind. Remember: You only need one of the required boons from each god.
Parting Shot
Your Cast gains any bonuses you have for striking foes from behind. Bonus Backstab Damage: +35%

Required Boons: Athena- Divine Strike, Divine Flourish, Phalanx Shot, Divine Dash, or Athena’s Aid
Aphrodite– Heartbreak Strike, Heartbreak Flourish, Crush Shot, Passion Dash, or Aphrodite’s Aid
Merciful End
Your attacks that can Deflect immediately activate Doom effects. Doom Combo Damage: 40

Required Boons: Athena- Divine Strike or Divine Flourish
Ares– Curse of Agony or Curse of Pain
Deadly Reversal
After you Deflect, briefly gain +20% chance to deal critical damage. Critical duration: 2 seconds.
I love my crit builds, and +20% is nothing to scoff at. Other than Artemis’ Aid and Hunter’s Mark, this is the largest increase in crit chance you can get from attacks.

Required Boons: Athena- Divine Strike or Divine Flourish
Artemis– Deadly Strike, Deadly Flourish, True Shot, Hunter’s Flare or Artemis’ Aid
Stubborn Roots
While you have no Death/Stubborn Defiance your health slowly recovers. Life Regeneration: 1 health every .08 seconds.
This may be the best boon or duo boon there is. Healing can be rare, regeneration even more so. It’s even more crucial because it only activates on your last life or “Defiance”. Stubborn Roots is absolutely clutch, especially when fighting Hades. Just bide your time, play smart or defensive, and you’ll recover.

Required Boons: Athena- Divine Strike, Divine Flourish, Phalanx Shot, Phalanx Flare, Divine Dash, or Athena’s Aid
Demeter– Frost Strike, Frost Flourish, Crystal Beam, Icy Flare, Mistral Dash, or Demeter’s Aid
Calculated Risk
Your foes’ ranged-attack projectiles are slower. Foe Projectile Speed Reduction: +50%
The only other way to slow foes’ projectile speed is behind a locked Stygius form. Sometimes, projectiles absolutely flood the screen. At only half the speed, dodging, diving, and deflecting are even easier. Other than Stubborn roots, this is Athena’s best boon in my opinion.

Required Boons: Athena- Divine Strike, Divine Flourish, Divine Dash, or Athena’s Aid
Dionysus– Drunken Strike, Drunken Flourish, Drunken Dash, or Dionysus’ Aid
Unshakable Mettle
You cannot be stunned, and resist some damage from Bosses. Boss Damage Reduction: +10%
Another great duo boon. Bosses obviously deal more damage so that 10% puts in work. Combine this with other defenses to be unkillable. There are other debuffs to beware, but you can mainly focus on tanking and damage. Hades‘ vases can no longer stun you.

Required Boons: Athena- Divine Strike, Divine Flourish, Phalanx Shot, Phalanx Flare, or Athena’s Aid
Poseidon– Tempest Strike, Tempest Flourish, Flood Shot, Flood Flare, or Poseidon’s Aid
Lightning Phalanx
Your Phalanx Shot Cast bounces between nearby foes. Max Bounces: 3
This boon is fun and useful. Your deflective Casts will bounce all over, protecting you from projectiles.

Required Boons: Athena- Phalanx Shot
Zeus– Lightning Strike, Thunder Flourish, Thunder Dash, or Zeus’ Aid
