No ammo, and outta time. This is how my friends and I found ourselves in a bombastic game of Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0. We had done alright for the majority of the game. We started out with nothing, and managed to kill some bots and take some of their typical weapons. AK’s if I remember right. We raided some of the strongholds and looted some better gear as the game went on.
Okay, so we might’ve gotten a little greedy with things.
Taking too long here and there with looting and going for those extra sweet kills on players and bots alike to just level up those guns that we really liked. But before we knew it, it was nearing the final moments of the game. We were running out of time and the nearest extraction point was on the very left-hand side of the map.
It was gonna be close if we could even get there.
My teammate got downed in the middle of a firefight and we were pinned down, fighting like hell to make sure we got out of there in one piece. We used every single round we had and defeated all the bots in the area and managed to revive the teammate. It was cutting even closer now. Things were looking bleak, we needed a car and fast. Luckily, we spied one down the road and made a beeline for it.
Bots had spawned in and started to take potshots at us.
Great, more bad news.
Escape!!!
After swan-diving behind the car and piling in, the gas was released. Welp, only mere minutes left till we wouldn’t be able to escape. We booted it all the way to near the extraction point but, as it turned out, it was full of bots. It was already getting hot with the gas closing on. Great. This can’t get worse.
After bailing from the car and thinking what the hell, we launched ourselves at the bots at full speed, thinking we were just gonna get downed anyway. Punching and shooting with what he had, we managed to drop the majority of them to our surprise, and took cover after we called the chopper in.
Were we actually going to survive this??
Moments later, we piled into the chopper and claimed the gas masks as our reward for the next game. It was tense while we were waiting to take off but we managed to survive. Only just. That game ended up being a great memory of ours. Hopefully, you all have some amazing memories with your friends you can reminisce on in the future. It is one of the most beautiful things about gaming.
